Haritha Karma Sena head Shiya believes that this time “luck has chosen the winners correctly”. “Many women have debts to pay… have daughters to marry off… or have to pay for the medical expenses of relatives and friends. They live in very modest households, struggling with the harsh realities of life,” said a woman in comments by news agency PTI. It is interesting that 11 girlfriends tried their luck not for the first time. Last year, they raised money for another lottery ticket that won them R7,500.
