In Ukraine, restrictions on the number of attempts to pass practical exams for obtaining a driver’s license have been abolished. The new rules come into effect on August 1, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports. During the year after completing studies at a driving school and receiving a certificate of theoretical training, the candidate has: an unlimited number of attempts to pass the theoretical exam; an unlimited number of attempts within 2 years from the date of issuance of the certificate of completion of practical training for passing the practical exam. The interval between passing theoretical or practical exams (in case of unsuccessful passing) is at least 10 calendar days. The result of a successfully passed theoretical exam will be valid for 1 year, and the practical exam will be valid for 2 years. “Also, the examination sheet of the practical exam has been updated, which clearly defines typical mistakes and criteria for assessing the abilities of a candidate for the right to obtain a driver’s license,” the department adds. We will remind, previously future drivers had three attempts to pass a practical exam at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
