Hits to the head with a boxing glove: in the Lviv region, the police are investigating the beating of first-year students in a school dormitory

Senior students in the dormitory of the school in the village of Chervone in the Lviv region staged a demonstration beating of the first-year students. Perpetrators of the incident face restriction of freedom for a term of up to 5 years or imprisonment for a term of up to 4 years.
On December 8, during the monitoring of social networks, police officers of the Lviv region found a video in which senior students of the school beat the first-year students of the same educational institution. In the presence of many eyewitnesses, the elders hit the younger ones in the head and chest with boxing gloves, the law enforcement officers report.
On the video, which reached the law enforcement officers, it can be seen that the victims cannot stand on their feet because of the pain.
The police say that all participants in the incident have been identified. Psychologists work with the victims.

As reported by the local publication Zolochiv.net, the incident happened late at night in the dormitory of the Chervonenskyi Higher Vocational School, which is located in the village of Chervone, Zolochivskyi District, Lviv Oblast.
Senior students gave their younger colleagues a so-called “dedication” with a beating.
“UP. Life” tried to contact the director of the institution, Tetyana Salabai, but has not yet received a response. At the same time, as Salabay noted in a comment to a local publication, she “cannot understand such cruelty to children.”
On the fact of the beating, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of freedom for a term of up to five years or deprivation of liberty for a term of up to four years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
