Ukrainian schoolchildren who received their education abroad can enroll in Ukrainian universities. But within a year, they must receive confirmation of documents on obtaining education outside of Ukraine. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andrii Vitrenko on the air of a nationwide telethon on February 7. He explained that in the fall of 2022, the ministry approved a new regulation on the recognition of foreign documents. Within a year, the higher education institution must submit an application there and recognize this document on the territory of Ukraine,” said Vitrenko. He added that in 2022, a mechanism was also created for the admission of applicants who are in the temporarily occupied territories and want to enter Ukrainian universities. The admission procedure for them will take place remotely. We would like to remind you that in 2023, for admission, applicants need to pass an improved multi-subject test, where there will be 2 mandatory subjects – Ukrainian language and mathematics. Applicants can choose other subjects. But the document has not yet been approved by the Council. Read also: “The threshold of 10% is a sanitary minimum”: what is wrong with the NMT-2023 assessment
