During the full-scale invasion, about 3% of medical workers who worked in the Medical Guarantee Program left Ukraine and went abroad.
This was stated by the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko in ether nationwide telethon “Edyny Novyny”.
“If you look at official statistics, only 3% of medical workers who worked in the Medical Guarantee Program left the country.
But we understand that a large number of people to whom they provided medical care have also left the country. Therefore, there is no personnel crisis in the field of health care.” – he assured.
At the same time, the medical system, like a number of other industries, was put on military rails, so part of the medical staff was mobilized.
“We need to constantly adapt to the challenges brought by Russian terrorists.” – added Lyashko.
The Minister noted that, according to WHO forecasts, by 2030 there will be a personnel crisis in the field of health care. Ukraine will not be an exception, but the government is already taking measures to minimize its influence.
