The most successful was rental in such countries outside the USA as Great Britain ($11.8 million), France ($9.6 million) and Germany ($9.1 million). As for box office fees in Ukraine, information has not yet been made public.

The second “Dune” turned out to be more successful than the first: in 2021, the first film in the first weekend of distribution in the United States sold tickets for 41 million dollars – almost twice less. The first “Dune” was released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max, so that affected the figures.

The second “Dune” continues the story of the adventures of the young Duke Paul Atreides on the desert planet Arrakis and the beginning of his struggle for its independence.

In the second film, Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Dave Batista, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skashgard returned to their roles. They were also joined by new actors: Léa Seydoux, Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler.

The premiere of the tape was postponed at least three times: first, the second “Dune” was supposed to be released on October 20, 2023, then it was moved to November, and then March 2024.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment spent $190 million on the film’s production and an additional approximately $100 million on the film’s promotion.
