”, says the curator of the Favbet Foundation charity Alina Nasibyan. Now, after more than a year and a half, language courses are no longer so urgent. Few Ukrainians who have just decided to move to Croatia visit them, says Alina’s colleague Marianna Kovenia.

So, for example, older women meet for tea or coffee, knit socks for the Armed Forces and discuss life moments.
Slavitsa is one of the center’s most respected and systematic volunteers, because she has been helping Ukrainians since day one,” says the curator of the Favbet Foundation.
In the center, Ukrainian women also organize art therapy for children and adults, conduct fitness classes and hold events – Ukrainian Language Day, Embroidery Day, etc.
There are many activities for children – drawing competitions, preschool classes. They also conducted training for students of the 1st-2nd grade (Ukrainian language, mathematics, reading), so that the young Ukrainians who went to the Croatian school would not forget their native language and get a quality education.
“We hope that our flower, our future – our children will return home later. Therefore, we strive to make sure that in the first years of schooling the child can acquire the basis of the Ukrainian language, be able to read, write and speak fluently,” Marianna explains.
