The Russian army killed the last inhabitant of the village of Stepok in Sumy Oblast. The projectile hit the room where 60-year-old Oleksandr Mykolayovych was.
Son Ruslan reported the death of his father, reports Suspilne. The death of a civilian in the village was also confirmed by the Krasnopil Settlement Council and the Security Service of Ukraine.
The village of Stepok is located near the border with Russia, next to the humanitarian crossing “Pokrovka-Kolotylivka”. According to the son of the deceased, his father was the last resident of the village, all other people evacuated. The man did not want to leave.
“On Wednesday, January 24, my friends went to see and visit my father. So they saw that there was a direct hit. I myself am in shock. There was no electricity, the occupiers ransacked every day, we bought him a generator and a battery and he lived there. He had a mare, a dog, and chickens.
Now I am waiting for my mother and sister to bury my father“, says the son.

According to the secretary of the Krasnopil settlement council, Iryna Yukhta, it is not known exactly when the man died.

“The information arrived this week. It was a direct hit to the house. Probably died last weekend, maybe it was Monday, we don’t know until the end“, she says.
