In Rivne, a man tried to pass a driving test instead of his neighbor. He provided other people’s documents and assured that “he has changed a little in eight years.”
This case was reported to the Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Rivne region.
A resident of one of the villages of the region applied to the institution to take a practical driving test.
He brought his passport, identification code and medical certificate of his neighbor with him.

“He had good intentions – to help out an acquaintance. Our administrators immediately suspected something was wrong, looking only at the photo in the passport. The man tried to prove that his face had changed a little in eight years and the photo was old, but still had to talk to the police.” – they say in the institution.

As Yaroslava Knyazhytska, spokeswoman for the Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Rivne region, notes in a comment for Suspilny, this is the first such case in the Rivne region since 2019.
“If you look at the passport, you can see that the person is not the same. When he was asked what was your year of birth, he did not even say the year correctly.
There were cases that came with fake medical certificates, with fake driver’s licenses and wanted to replace them with a new model. There have been such cases, and this is the first time. If we discover such facts, we immediately call the police.” – explains the spokeswoman.
