The validity period of electronic prescriptions for prescription drugs that the patient buys at his own expense has increased by 60 days.

This was reported in the Ministry of Health.

From now on, e-prescriptions will be valid for 90 days. Previously, this term was 30 days.

“This decision will allow the patient not only to visit the doctor less often to renew the prescription, but also to pay off the e-prescription issued for a course of treatment up to 90 days more conveniently.” – said the Ministry of Health.

At the same time, the validity period of e-prescriptions for narcotic drugs remains the same – 10 days.

Electronic prescriptions for drugs that are subject to reimbursement (reimbursement of the cost) or issued on preferential terms, and extemporaneous drugs (made in a pharmacy) will also work without changes – within 30 days.

According to the Ministry of Health, it is possible to pay off an electronic prescription in a pharmacy that works with an electronic health care system.

As a reminder, since October 13, narcotic drugs can only be obtained by e-prescription.
