That is why I believe that now I will be more useful for the sphere of culture outside the state apparatus,” Grigorenko said, adding that she is infinitely grateful to the people with whom she collaborated during this time – for experience, for productive dialogue, for dedication to the profession and the cause. Regarding the candidacy of the next Minister of Culture for information policy, Halyna Grigorenko said that she has no predictions. “But, of course, I hope that people will be aware of today’s challenges,” Grigorenko concluded. The official dismissal of the deputy minister was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. Galina Hryhorenko has been the deputy minister since July 2022. On July 28, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Rostyslav Karandeev as the acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. Among cultural activists, 51-year-old Karandeev is called the “eternal” deputy minister of culture. He first assumed this position at the beginning of 2015 and since then “survived” there ministers and executors of his duties from various political forces: Vyacheslav Kyrylenk, Yevgeny Nyschuk, Volodymyr Borodyanskyi, Svitlana Fomenko and Oleksandr Tkachenko. Karandeev left the ministry only for a short time – from February to July 2020, he was an adviser to the Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak. There is no other replacement for Oleksandr Tkachenko yet, as previously reported by UP sources in the cabinet.
