In Dnipropetrovsk region, a man who raped an 8-year-old girl was imprisoned for life

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a 36-year-old local resident who raped an 8-year-old girl was sentenced to life imprisonment.
This was reported in the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutors proved that in September 2022, a man, having noticed two minor children returning home in the yard of a multi-story building, followed them.
Together with the children, the convict went to the entrance and introduced himself as a doctor, after which the children let him into the apartment.

“After making sure that there were no adults in the apartment, the man asked the 7-year-old boy to wait in another room, and he himself raped the 8-year-old girl, causing her serious injuries.” – reported in the OGP.
In addition, during the search of the convict’s place of residence, the law enforcement officers found the body of a hand-held defensive fragmentation grenade and the fuse.
The court found him guilty of the rape of a minor child and the illegal acquisition and storage of explosives and ammunition (Part 6 of Article 152, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It is noted that earlier the man was repeatedly convicted of crimes against the sexual freedom and sexual integrity of minors.

In the comment “UP Life” the spokeswoman of the prosecutor’s office of the Dnipropetrovsk region said that before the current case, the man was tried three times for the corruption of minors (Article 156 of the Criminal Code).
“His last conviction was in 2016, when he was sentenced to up to 7 years in prison. He was released from prison in 2022. In September of that year, he raped a girl.”added the prosecutor’s office.
