In January, the Kyiv City Center for Gender Equality, Prevention and Combating Violence received 1,124 appeals. 297 of them related to domestic violence. This was reported by the deputy head of the KMDA, Maryna Honda. Of the 1,124 appeals from Kyiv citizens that came in the first month of the year, the majority related to stress due to the war, fear for themselves and their relatives. 297 appeals were received regarding domestic violence. Of them, 213 are from women and 84 from men. During the month, 7 people stayed at the Center, and 23 people used the crisis response rooms. In 10 months of 2022, the Center received almost 10,000 appeals for psychological help and support, the Kyiv City Council reports.
