The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine advised doctors to involve four-legged cops from the Kyiv region in classes on emotional support of military and civilians in need of rehabilitation. This was reported by the Canine Center of the Police in the Kyiv region. The other day, police lieutenant Kateryna Belyaeva and her four-legged pets – Bentley, Vaida and Polya – were on a business trip in one of the military hospitals. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the four-legged, teachers and psychologists have been involved in working with children and adults, victims of the aggressor’s onslaught, wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, temporarily displaced persons and those who survived captivity and evacuation. During the work of the group, new methods of using emotional support dogs were developed. The involvement of animals in rehabilitation took place within the framework of the “Joy of Touch” project, initiated by the NGO “Youth Organization of the Disabled, War Veterans “Heart Strings”” with the support of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund for the Cooperation of the Canine Center of the Kyiv Region Police.
