In Khmelnych region, the director and doctor of a private hospital are suspected of providing fictitious services

In the Khmelnytskyi region, the director and pediatrician of one of the private hospitals are suspected of providing fictitious services, namely, falsifying information about the services provided. This was reported in the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office. According to law enforcement officers, during 2022-2023, the manager and employee of the clinic entered false data into the electronic system regarding the provision of medical services to patients who did not receive any assistance. “Illegal actions were committed with the aim of seizing budget funds received from the state as compensation for providing services to the population,” the prosecutor’s office notes. Photo: HayDmitriy/Depositphotos The director of the institution resigned, the doctor was removed from her position. Precautionary measures in the form of house arrest were chosen for the women. They are suspected of unauthorized changes to information that is processed in automated systems by a group of persons based on prior collusion (Part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of up to 3 years of imprisonment and a ban on holding office for one year. The issue of notifying them of additional suspicion under Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position), added the prosecutor’s office. “UP.
