In Kyiv, the space of psycho-emotional support “Litokryl” was opened for children who suffered from the war. The center provides free psychological counseling to children and their parents and guardians.

“Litokryl” is already the third hub opened by the RescueNow charity fund.

Two hubs are already functioning in Kharkiv, the third started working in Kyiv in partnership with the Never Give Up humanitarian fund. It is designed primarily for families who were forced to leave their homes because of the war and start life anew in unfamiliar cities.

Many families fled from the occupied territories or from the explosions. Now they have to adapt to life in a big foreign city, find a job, school or kindergarten, friends. It is difficult to live not only for parents, but also for children, who often cannot tell mom and dad what they really feel after what they have experienced“, says project curator Olga Kabanets.

During games, art and fairy-tale therapy, the project team helps children relieve tension and distract themselves from injuries

The space has three rooms, two of them are designed for group classes, one more for psychological sessions.

All classes are scheduled by the hour, taking into account the number of children and age characteristics: groups from 4 to 7 years old, 8-11 and 12-16 years old.

Various master classes are held every week – theater studios, mixed oriental martial arts, origami, plasticine, cooking, a media school on studying television and shooting children’s news.

For the youngest, there are classes for preparing for school on logic, memory and attention.

Since the vast majority of displaced persons do not seek psychological help and cope with everything on their own, in “Litokryla” they are assisted by qualified psychologists who work with the anxious and depressive states of children and parents in groups and individually“, says the message of the hub.

The space is located at: Chikalenko Street, 25 (2 minutes from the “Teatralna” metro station, where you can hide in case of an air raid).

You can familiarize yourself with the schedule of classes and master classes, as well as sign up for psychologist consultations through the project’s Telegram or by calling +38 063 408 80 55.

In January, the foundation plans to open a second “Litokryl” in Kyiv on the Left Bank of the Dnieper.
