A 4-year-old child died on a playground in Mykolaiv. The owner of the attraction where the girl was playing was detained. The girl was playing on an inflatable trampoline and became entangled in loops on the wall of one of its departments, the regional police reported. The tragedy happened on May 13, 2023. Around 2:00 p.m., the police received a report that a child had died on the playground. According to the head of the police of Mykolaiv Oblast, Serhii Shaikhet, according to the preliminary conclusions of experts, the child died as a result of strangulation. The girl was playing on an inflatable trampoline and became entangled in the loops on the wall of one of his departments. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the girl’s death. During the investigation, the “Fairy Tale” children’s town, where the accident happened, will not work. Later, the police reported that they had detained the 45-year-old owner of the trampoline. Currently, the issue of notifying the woman of suspicion is being resolved. Information about the event was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 272 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of safety rules during the performance of work with increased danger, which caused the death of people or other serious consequences.” The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to 3 years.
