A 14-year-old girl died in Odesa as a result of poisoning with psychotropic substances. Law enforcement officers detained a 17-year-old citizen who sold her drugs. The boy faces up to 10 years in prison, the Odesa Oblast police report. Doctors contacted the law enforcement officers, who said that a schoolgirl had died in the hospital previously due to drug poisoning. The law enforcement officers found amphetamine in the deceased’s apartment and found out its origin with the help of an express test. During the investigation, law enforcement officers detained a 17-year-old boy who sold two bags of ecstasy tablets (MDMA) and amphetamine to the girl. She used part of what she bought, and kept the rest at home. After taking drugs at night, the child became ill, she was admitted to the hospital, where she died. The police established that the suspect ordered prohibited substances through messenger, received the location of the hiding place, from which he took the “goods” for further sale. During the search of the boy’s apartment, law enforcement officers seized a polymer bag with a powdery substance, which, according to the results of an express test, contained amphetamine. In addition, electronic scales, packaging material, a mobile phone, packages with crystalline, powdery and plant substances of unknown origin were seized. The police opened a case of murder with the mark “accident” (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code). The boy was detained under the article on the illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code). He faces up to 10 years in prison. “UP. Life” asked for a comment to the press service of the police of Odesa and we are waiting for a response.
