In Odesa, employees of the national nature park “Tuzlivski Lymani” rescued more than fifty newts, which were injured as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. More than a hundred animals were found dead, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine reports. During the day, about 204 newts entered the Red Book of Ukraine from the Dnieper waters to the Black Sea coast. 55 of them were alive, and 149 were dead.
