A sex scandal related to the Catholic Church broke out in Poland.
The local publication Gazeta Wyborcza reported that on the night of August 30-31, 2023, the priests ordered a male prostitute to one of the parish houses and arranged an orgy. Participants of the “event” used pills to increase potency.
However, the party got out of hand when the man on call passed out. One of the party members called an ambulance. However, when the medics arrived, they did not want to let them in.
Doctors called the police.
Only after the intervention of the law enforcement officers, the unconscious man was given medical assistance.
Then it became known that the orgy took place in the office apartment of Father Tomasz Z., a priest of the parish of the Holy Virgin Mary Angelska in the city of Dombrova Gurnich.
The priest is also the editor-in-chief of the Catholic weekly “Niedziela”.

After the incident, the publishers of the weekly initiated the termination of the employment contract with Father Tomas, and soon the priest was deprived of all church positions.
The police and the prosecutor’s office began to investigate the case.
The police reported that the investigators started an investigation into the fact of failure to provide assistance to a person who found himself in a situation that creates an immediate threat of death or serious injury to health.
Such an act is punishable by imprisonment for a term of up to 3 years.
The leadership of the church diocese announced its own investigation of the situation and created a corresponding commission.
On Thursday, September 21, a fire broke out in the church where Father Tomas served. The fire was extinguished, there were no victims.

Residents of Dombrowa-Hurnychoa describe Father Tomasz as a “communicative, smiling and spontaneous” person, writes Wirtualna Polska. Some people also added that he is a “handsome man”.
Many parishioners say that they are shocked, and some do not believe that such a thing could happen.
“I knew Father Tomasz very well, I would never have imagined anything like this in my life.” – says local resident Mr. Stanislav.
People also add that even if the incident is confirmed, it will not justify the people who set fire to the temple.
Many condemn the organizer and participants of the event.
“Shame and shame again. A priest should be a priest, not a monster”– says Mrs. Yanina.
Also in Poland, the previous scandal surrounding the seminary in Kraków is mentioned, when the rector was accused of harassing seminarians. A tragedy occurred in the institution when a priest who was graduating from the seminary and was a victim of sexual violence, killed a deacon and then committed suicide. After the tragedy, the institution was disbanded.
Publicist Tomasz Terlikovsky calls on the bishop of the Sosnowiec Diocese, Grzegorz Kashak, to resign.
He claims that the bishop took up the case in Dombrov-Hurnych only when it was exposed by the media. Previously, he sent the priest on planned leave, but did not deprive him of his rank and did not suspend him, although he had three weeks to do so.
“One can, of course, assume that the bishop was extremely unlucky to be given a difficult diocese and is now suffering from it. The only problem is that recent events are the result of his personal negligence.” – says the publicist.
It will be recalled that, according to the report of the commission that investigated sexual harassment and violence in the church, over the past 70 years at least 4,815 children were sexually abused by members of the Portuguese Catholic Church, mostly priests.
