In the south of Spain, a 200-kilogram shark with a bloody mouth was washed up on the beach. Vacationers tried to return the two-meter long predator to the sea, but they did not succeed.

As The Telegraph writes, the shark was thrown onto the beach of Playa del Riuete in Puerto de Mazarron in southern Spain. According to eyewitnesses, the predator swam too close to the shore and suffocated in shallow water. They also said the shark was “disoriented”.

People say that the predator was already seen in these places a few days before its death.

The shark was taken from the beach by municipal workers and taken to a landfill for disposal.

The 200-kilogram shark had a bloody mouth

It was initially identified as a blue or great white shark, but after a thorough examination, the vet determined it was a mako shark. It can reach up to four meters in length and weigh 570 kilograms. This species is common in tropical waters from the Caribbean and Atlantic to the Indian and Pacific oceans.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature classifies this species as endangered. According to scientists, the number of short-finned mako is decreasing in all oceans except the southern Pacific Ocean.

We will remind, in Scotland, more than 50 grinds, which are also called round-headed whales or black dolphins, washed ashore en masse.

And in Australia, about a hundred whales washed ashore. More than 50 of them died.
