Swiss police have launched an investigation after reports of an anti-Semitic ad in the Alpine ski resort of Davos.
One of the shops refused to rent ski equipment to Jews, accusing them of theft, BBC and DW reported.
The Swiss newspaper 20minuten published a photo of the scandalous sign in the Bergrestaurant Pischa store a few days ago.
It was written in Hebrew: “Due to various unfortunate incidents, including the theft of sleds, we no longer provide sports equipment for rent to our Jewish brothers”.

The store made an excuse that they “no longer want the daily hassle”, because Jewish guests leave their sleds on the slopes, do not return the equipment or give it to “defective”.
The Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities expressed outrage and said it was launching legal proceedings.
“The poster is undeniably discriminatory. A whole group of guests has been collectively labeled because of their appearance and background. Quite openly and unabashedly,” – said the general secretary of the organization, Jonathan Kreutner, in a comment to AFP.
Police in the canton of Graubünden have launched an investigation into “discrimination and incitement to hatred”.

At the same time, the owner of the store, Rudy Pfiffner, apologized and said that he is still happy to welcome Jewish guests and is “ready to talk to those who have been affected” by the actions of the store.
The man claims the note was “poorly worded” but was the result of rising tensions.
“We had to lock up the sleigh because members of the Jewish community just took it away when we weren’t there.”he said.
It will be recalled that after the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in October last year, anti-Semitic actions became more frequent in Europe.
At the same time, according to KMIS sociologists, the vast majority of Ukrainians (69%) sympathize with Israel, and only 1% support Palestine.
Earlier, three students were beaten in Switzerland because they are Ukrainians.
