In the Lviv region, in the historical and cultural reserve “Stilske Gorodishche” on the territory of the settlement-sanctuary in the “Pechera” tract, near the village of Iliv, archaeological excavations were conducted, as a result of which, in particular, the remains of a religious building were discovered. Excavations on the territory of the monument were carried out for the first time in 20 years, Ihor Garasym, head of the department of protection and popularization of historical and cultural heritage, told “UP. Life” in a comment. During three weeks of research of the territory with a total area of about 200 m2, archaeologists established that the hillfort is a multi-layered monument. A complex of ancient buildings from the 4th millennium BC to the time of Kyivan Rus was found on the territory. Traces of this culture were found, in particular, on Black Mountain in the village of Mali Hrybovichi and on Lysivka and Zhupan mountains in the city of Vinnyki, near Lviv, as well as on Mt. near the village of Trostyanets in the Lviv region. This indicates the spread of this culture,” said Ihor Garasym. According to him, the culture of ware ware was a “neighbor” of the Trypil culture.
