In the mountains of the Ivano-Frankivsk region during the evening of July 12 and the night of July 13, rescuers searched for three groups of tourists who got lost in the dark. There were also children among the tourists, the State Emergency Service reports. Near the Hoverlya waterfall, rescuers found a group of tourists – two adults and two children, who were descending from Hoverlya and got lost. Another group – a 45-year-old woman traveler with a 16-year-old child from Odeschyna, was discovered by rescuers between Mount Smotrych and Mount Mikuleska of the Verkhovyna District. Photo: DSNS Another group – three travelers from Rivne, got lost during the descent from Mount Pip Ivan on the slope of Mount Vukhaty Kamin of the Verkhovyna District near the Smotrytsky waterfalls. “They were escorted to the shelter on the Smotrych plateau,” the State Emergency Service reports. The service added that before going to the mountains, travelers should carefully plan their route, objectively assessing their own strength, physical condition and weather conditions.
