A seventh-grader from the American state of Michigan, Dillon Reeves, prevented a school bus accident after the driver lost consciousness. This is reported by CNN. Police called the boy’s act “an extraordinary act of courage and maturity.” The school bus took students home. The driver felt dizzy and warned the school transport department that she was not feeling well and was going to stop. However, the driver did not have time to reach the place where she planned to park, lost consciousness and was unable to stop the bus, which began to drive into the oncoming lane. Panic began in the bus, where there were 66 students. However, 13-year-old Reeves took the wheel and began to slowly apply the brakes. The boy was yelling at the passengers, “Someone call 911. Immediately. Somebody has to call 911. Somebody call 911!”. With the rest, Dillon steered the bus to safety. Dillon Reeves. None of the children were injured. The driver was taken to the hospital for examination. Reeves’ parents, Steve and Iretha Reeves, are proud of their son and call him a “little hero.” “Dillon has really been a great boy this year. He’s come a long way. He’s been surprising us with great grades and his performances at school with his friends. And what he’s done just fills my heart and makes him jump for joy,” said the boy’s mother.
