In the American state of Wisconsin, the board of rectors of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse fired the rector of the institution for filming pornographic videos.
This decision was unanimously adopted at the council meeting on December 27, The Guardian reports.
During the meeting, the council described the hobbies of the university’s ex-chancellor Joe Gow as disgusting and causing “significant reputational damage” to the university.
Gow confirmed to The Associated Press that his colleagues had learned that he and his wife, former university professor Carmen Wilson, had produced and starred in pornographic videos.

According to him, his colleagues did not explain to him what exactly they were firing for and did not give him the opportunity to comment on the situation.
According to Gow, the board of rectors violated his right to free speech. The man is considering filing a lawsuit.
“Thursday night I got an email and found out I was fired. I would love to be able to go to the hearing.
My wife and I deal with consensual adult sex. By dismissing me, the board of rectors of the university thus fails to fulfill its own obligations regarding freedom of speech.”Gou Jo says.
The removal of the man from his position was supported by the president of the university Jay Rothman. She justified her decision by the fact that Gou failed to become a role model for teachers and students.
According to Rothman, a man mistakenly believes that freedom of speech equates to the ability to do and say whatever he wants.
“Common sense requires that there be limits on what people who are entrusted with the management of our universities say or do. The appropriate decision must be perfectly clear to him.”– noted Rotman.
It is known that Joe Gow and his wife run a channel on YouTube called “Sexy Healthy Cooking”. In their videos, they cook food together with porn actors.
In 2018, Gow was involved in a scandal after inviting porn actress Nina Hartley to perform at the university. For this, he paid her 5 thousand dollars from student fees.
The then president of the institution, Ray Cross, reprimanded him, and the board of rectors refused to raise his salary that year.
The couple also released e-books: “Monogamy with Benefits: How Porn Enriches Our Relationships” and “Married with Benefits – Our Real Adventures in the Adult Industry.”
