In Ukraine, a new psychosocial service for the formation of vitality was created

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the Resolution on the implementation of a pilot project on the introduction of a comprehensive psychosocial service for the formation of vitality.
It is aimed at supporting and improving the mental health of Ukrainians, the Cabinet of Ministers writes.
The project is designed to reduce the general level of stress and anxiety. It also covers the formation of psychological first aid skills for loved ones, prevention of psychological traumatization.
They plan to pay the most attention to military personnel, veterans, and families with small children.

“This service is designed to reduce anxiety, give people an understanding of how to behave in crisis situations, how to cope with stress, as well as develop parenting skills, support families with children, which is very important to us, and coordinate volunteer initiatives.
We are forming groups of psychologists and social workers to work, first of all, with target groups – families of military personnel, veterans, people with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities and everyone who will need support.” – says Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich.
When providing a service, the person’s needs will first be assessed. Then she will be provided with information about possible solutions to her problems – from social security to free legal aid.
In addition, the program will include psychological diagnostics, psychological counseling; provision of psychological support and assistance after psychological trauma and stress disorders; learning methods and techniques that help reduce physical and psychological stress, etc.
Some directions will directly relate to psychological support of parents, skills in caring for them, building relationships.
This service also provides training of volunteers and assistance in their activities. Life support will be provided to the winners who will be selected at the competition of the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.
Currently, the Government is calling on local authorities to join the project by providing premises where this service will be provided.
Earlier, it became known that during the year of the war, the level of sustainability in Ukraine almost did not change.
