Grades that Ukrainian schoolchildren receive while studying in educational institutions abroad must be credited in Ukraine.
As reported by the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, representatives of the Ukrainian School in Geneva (Switzerland) emphasized this during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Education and Science, methodological recommendations were developed in 2023, which clarify the issue of obtaining an education in general secondary education institutions under martial law.
It is, in particular, about the fact that children who were forced to change their place of residence and were educated abroad will be enrolled in Ukrainian schools upon their return.

Also, in accordance with the recommendations, all grades obtained abroad are re-credited upon return. For this you need to provide informational certificate:
- with grades received by the child abroad;
- about the evaluation system used in the host country.
It is noted that children abroad can only study subjects of the Ukrainian studies component, which include:
- Ukrainian language and literature;
- History of Ukraine;
- basics of jurisprudence;
- geography;
- civil education;
- subjects defense of Ukraine and “I explore the world”.
Earlier, we reported how the results of studying abroad will be credited in Ukraine.
