In 2024, UAH 16 billion more will be allocated to the Medical Guarantee Program than last year – UAH 159 billion.

There will be 44 aid packages, including three new ones – for infertility treatment, organ and stem cell transplantation, the Ministry of Health reported.

“Quality, availability and free medical care for Ukrainians are three key parameters that we are working on implementing in the ministry. They are the basis of the medical guarantee program for 2024.

Taking into account the needs of veterans, we are creating opportunities for universal access to medical care for all Ukrainians.” Minister Viktor Lyashko said.

Among the priorities of assistance for the next year:

✅ maternity and childhood care – one of the highest tariffs will be paid for neonatal care;

✅ treatment of oncological diseases, in particular 6 studies for their early detection;

✅ psychological assistance – a package of psychological support at the primary level and an increased tariff for inpatient psychiatric assistance will be in effect, psychiatric assistance will continue to be provided by mobile multidisciplinary teams;

✅ sustainability of the functioning of the network of health care facilities and the provision of medical assistance to Ukrainians in the war zone.

The “Affordable Medicines” reimbursement program was also not overlooked. UAH 5.2 billion was allocated for it. Next year, they plan to expand the list of drugs against mental and behavioral disorders – patients will be able to get them free of charge or with a partial co-payment.
