Ukrainians were reminded that due to the martial law in Ukraine, there will be no additional days off for Christmas and New Year.
Therefore, Mondays December 25 and January 1 will be normal business days.
At the government meeting on Friday, December 22, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized that December 25, 2023 will be a working day for all government bodies, state enterprises and critical infrastructure enterprises.
“For its part, a private business can set a work schedule for that day at its own discretion.”he added.

We will remind that in March 2022, due to the full-scale invasion of the Russians, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law “On the organization of labor relations under martial law”, which changed the labor legislation.
It provides for the cancellation of all public holidays for the period of martial law.
So last year, Ukrainians also did not have additional days off for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
