A 19-year-old student of one of Zaporizhzhya universities collected data on employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and enterprises of the defense-industrial complex.

She was detained and reported on suspicion of treason, told in the SBU.

“The attacker tried to establish the exact coordinates of enterprises involved in the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine.

For this purpose, it received approximate geolocations of defense factories from the occupiers, and then carried out reconnaissance in the area near them“, the SBU noted.

The spy gathered as much information about the objects as possible. For example, the mode of their work, the intensity of the movement of cargo equipment in the open area of ​​the workshops.

Also, during friendly conversations, the girl asked her classmates and friends for similar information.

The SBU established that the girl was collecting data on the order of the FSB. The enemy planned to use them to prepare missile strikes. Ukrainian special services became interested in the girl in the fall of 2023.

It is known that the student was recruited through her godmother, a collaborator who is a member of the leadership of the occupation administration of the Russian Federation in one of the temporarily captured towns in Zaporozhye. The woman gave instructions and received “reports” on completed tasks.

The student is currently in custody. She faces life imprisonment.
