In the village of Popilnya in the Zhytomyr region, a parishioner of the Moscow Patriarchate damaged a banner about the murdered children that hung on the fence of the St. Nicholas Church. The woman cut out the words that the children were killed by Russia. The corresponding video was published in the group “Territorial defense of Popilnya community”. It is reported that the banner was placed a few days ago by a group of the religious community in memory of the children who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers. Screens from the video “There were toys and Easter eggs from the children of Popilnya region. In the morning, caring residents of the community began to bring flowers and children’s toys to this improvised wall of memory, perpetuating the memory of the children, the innocent victims of the Russian occupiers,” the message states. On April 20, a woman approached him and, shouting anti-Ukrainian slogans, cut out the word “Russian” from the banner. Also, she took away Easter eggs that people brought to the banner, noting that “this has no place near a Russian church.” Later it turned out that the woman is a member of the UOC-MP temple. “This woman is a parishioner of the Moscow priest Peter Lysos, who persuaded her to do something that a normal person would not think of. And he sent his subject Moscow priests to observe this,” the community added. “Ukrainian Pravda. Life” turned to the Popilnya community for details and is waiting for a response. We will remind, the priest of the UOC MP, who for more than 2 years molested his daughter, was given a preventive measure. Read also: 51% of Ukrainians support banning the activities of the UOC MP.
