“Inspired” by the Russian TV series: youths who beat and robbed a 16-year-old boy were detained in Kyiv

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers exposed young men who beat and robbed a 16-year-old boy and were preparing to commit a series of other crimes in the territory of the capital.
According to the violators, they were prompted to do so by a Russian TV series about the criminal life of teenagers, whom they wanted to imitate.
At the beginning of December of this year, a local resident contacted the Kyiv police with a report that unknown persons had beaten and robbed his 16-year-old son, Kyiv police reports.
The law enforcement officers identified the persons involved in the crime and took them to the police station.

Criminals involved in their illegal activities girls who were supposed to meet boys on the Internet and invite them on dates. Preference was given to owners of expensive gadgets. In the future, the company planned to rob those who came to the meeting, the law enforcement officers say.

“This is what happened this time as well – the young men beat the guy when he was on his way to a date, and took his mobile phone. The victim’s gadget was immediately handed over to the pawnshop, and the “earned” funds were distributed among themselves.
The offenders admitted that they were motivated to commit crimes by a Russian series about the criminal life of teenagers, which they wanted to imitate“, says Yuriy Trembitskyi, head of the Podil police department.
Two perpetrators, born in 2006 and 2007, were informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 4 of Art. 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery, combined with violence, committed by a group of persons and during martial law).
The sanction of the article provides from seven to ten years of imprisonment.
