In Kropyvnytskyi, local resident Yuliya Koblyk sheltered 72 hamsters, which were left behind by their owners during evacuation from dangerous front-line zones.

Out of half a hundred rodents used to live in the Kherson Region, told a woman in an interview with “Suspilno”.

When she learned that the settlers could not take the animals, the woman volunteered to take the hamsters to her, but she did not know how many there were.

“At first there were 43 of them, and the next day two mothers gave birth to 11 more. I love them all”says Yulia.

According to her, animals usually sleep during the day, and their activity increases in the evening and at night. Mostly at night, hamsters have an appetite – some prefer pumpkin, some prefer cabbage.

The rescued rodents live in two rooms – two or three in each cage, the woman says.

“If I had to go somewhere, as people went abroad because of the war, I would have stayed, not abandoned them again.

I will be grateful for any help. Need cages and feed”says Yulia.

Julia is looking for owners for all the animals.

We used to reportedthat the Wild Hamster Rescue Center operates in Ukraine.
