The court found a man from Kyiv guilty of corrupting underage girls in Lviv schools. The man was sentenced to eight years in prison for pedophilia, according to the case in the Unified Register of Court Decisions. The court verdict says that in December 2021, a 50-year-old man from Kyiv, disguised as a woman, entered two schools in Lviv. To realize the criminal intent, the man went into the school toilet where the child was. He blocked the exit of the schoolgirl and called himself a doctor, after which he offered the child a medical examination. When the girl agreed, the man began to “examine” her. In particular, the victim’s teacher entered the restroom and went to look for the student – the girl had not been in the classroom for a long time. The intruder heard this and began to run away, pushing the woman along the road. The teacher, who saw this, dressed the child and ran to the classroom in a state of shock, telling the teacher everything. The latter informed the official representative of the minor about the incident. Another case happened 11 days later in another school in Lviv. Another minor girl went to the toilet during the lesson. When she returned to the classroom, she was crying. The girl told the teacher that a stranger touched her in the restroom. Together they went to the school principal, after which they called the child’s mother to the school. Witnesses to the events at the two schools confirmed that the person they saw on CCTV and the accused were the same person. The court classified the criminal acts as the corruption of minors and issued a decision to sentence the man to eight years in prison (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code). The term will be counted from December 23, 2021 with the calculation of one day of pre-trial detention for one day of imprisonment. The perpetrator will also have to pay UAH 150,000. compensation for the representative of a seven-year-old schoolgirl. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force, so the prosecution can file an appeal. Kyyanin had already been tried before for molestation of minors. In 2021, he was wanted.
