The patrol police reminded the rules of walking pets in Ukraine.

“Pets are not a toy or entertainment, but a great responsibility.

When getting a four-legged dog, you should know that in Ukraine there are special rules for keeping and walking dogs”– say the law enforcement officers.

How to walk dogs?

A person who has reached the age of 14 can walk a dog.

As a reminder of the rules of walking, law enforcement officers shared photos of patrolman Anastasia Turevich and her pet Sam

The person who accompanies the animal is obliged to guarantee the safety of people and animals around, as well as property from damage.

For a walk, a leash is mandatory, as well as a muzzle, if your dog’s breed is included in the List of dangerous breeds approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

A collar with identification marks on the animal (identification token) is also mandatory.

❌ Pets cannot be left unattended during a walk.

❌ It is also forbidden to walk animals while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Violation of the rules for keeping dogs and cats entails administrative responsibility in the form of a warning or the imposition of a fine from 170 to 340 hryvnias, police officers emphasize.

We will remind you that recently in Boryspil, the police filed two reports against a man whose dog was walking without a muzzle and bit children.
