American singer Madonna postponed the start of her world tour after she was hospitalized with a severe bacterial infection on June 24. Her manager Guy Osyry announced this on Instagram.
According to him, the well-being of the 64-year-old singer, who spent several days in the intensive care unit, is improving, but she is still under the supervision of doctors. He promised to announce the new date of the start of the tour later.
As the Page Six portal writes, Madonna was found unconscious and taken to a New York hospital on Saturday, June 24.
Madonna’s world tour, timed to the 40th anniversary of her musical career, was supposed to begin on July 15 in Vancouver and include 84 concerts in 35 cities in Canada, the United States and Europe. The tour was planned to end in January 2024.
Madonna was going to return to stadium performances after a series of theater shows Madame X in 2019 and 2020. Some of these performances were canceled due to leg and thigh injuries of the singer.
