Near Lviv, the driver hit a deer and refused to help the animal

Near Lviv, a driver knocked down a roe deer and left it on the road – the animal was spotted by zoo volunteers who were passing by.

“She lay in the middle of the lane convulsing for at least seven minutes“– reported Lala Tarapakina, a volunteer from the “12 Sentinels” Foundation, who took the deer to the hospital.

According to her, the event happened on March 21 ring road of Lviv. As a result of the accident, the animal’s nose and paws were injured.

“I carefully try to transfer it to the blanket. Then I see legs, raise my head – there is a neatly dressed festive man in beige. When asked for help, he explained that the animal jumped under the wheels of the car by itself. He said that there was no time, he wished me “all the best” and went”says the woman.

The roe deer’s condition was stabilized at the vet clinic.

As writes ZAXID.NET, as a result of a collision with a car, the tip of the tail pierced the animal’s skin. She also had brain swelling, injuries to her head, chest and spine.

The next day, the roe deer’s condition improved. According to veterinarians, there is a possibility that the animal is in the early stages of pregnancy, but it is unlikely that it will be possible to save its fetus.

In a comment for “UP. Life”, the police of the Lviv region reported that they had not received any complaints about the incident. We have also contacted the patrol police of the region and are waiting for a response.

It should be noted that in Ukraine there is criminal responsibility for leaving an animal in a dangerous situation (Art. 89 KUPAP).
