As of July 26, 2023, the international organization UNESCO confirmed the damage to 274 cultural sites in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. This is what one of such objects looks like, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary “Joy of All Sorrowful” in the village of Bogorodichne, Donetsk region, 5 km from Sviatohirsk, which was destroyed during artillery shelling on May 19, 2022.
