The Russians illegally stole another 26 animals from the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regions. They were taken to the Taigan Safari Park in the occupied Crimea.

The animals were taken out allegedly because of “financial problems of local zoos and regular shelling of the territories.” The Russian state agency TARS writes about this.

Unfortunately, today in the “new territories” the situation with keeping animals and private zoos remains difficult. They are completely dependent on attendance and quiet time, which is not currently available in the Zaporizhzhia region or in Donetsk.”Oleg Zubkov, the director of Taigan park, told the propagandists.

Among the stolen animals are five rare white Bengal tigers.

There are also big problems with fodder. You have to buy beef for 275 rubles (approximately 112 hryvnias – ed.). There is a catastrophic lack of it, and it is very expensive to feed animals that eat tens of kilograms of meat. We took these five tigers to the park for permanent maintenance“, said Zubkov.

The occupiers also took two alpacas, nine Patagonian mares, three capybaras and two turtles to the occupied peninsula.

We will remind you that the Russians recently took rare red-listed animals from the occupied Biosphere Reserve “Askania-Nova” to the territory of Russia.

Last year, invaders stole nutria, parrots and a crocodile from the Kherson region. They were also taken to the occupied Crimea.

During the retreat, Russian soldiers also stole a raccoon, which was then even “enrolled” in the university in occupied Melitopol.
