The National Bank of Ukraine is putting into circulation a new commemorative coin with a denomination of 10 hryvnias – “Antonivskyi Myst”.

As the press service of the NBU reports, the issue of the coin is dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Kherson Oblast from the occupiers.

It will be in circulation and will symbolically remind us of the unity, courage and endurance of the Ukrainian people in the face of Russian aggression.

“A year ago, during the escape from the right bank of the Dnieper, the troops of the aggressor blew up the Antoniv bridge, destroying several of its spans. And now it stands destroyed, but with unwavering determination awaits the Victory and post-war reconstruction to unite the right and left banks of the independent and united Ukraine”, – says the head of the NBU Andriy Pishnyi.

According to its characteristics, the circulation commemorative coin “Antonivskyi Myst” is identical to the ordinary circulation coin with a denomination of 10 hryvnias of the 2018 model.

The difference is that its reverse is thematic, it contains a stylized image of the Antoniv Bridge and the Dnipro River from a bird’s eye view, as well as traffic interchanges at both ends of the bridge.

“Like all other circulating coins of Ukraine, the circulating commemorative coin “Antonivskyi Myst” is mandatory for acceptance at its face value by all individuals and legal entities without any restrictions throughout the territory of Ukraine for all types of payments, as well as for enrollment for accounts, deposits, letters of credit and for payment transactions”. – the NBU explains.

By the end of 2023, the National Bank plans to mint one more commemorative coin with a military theme. It will be dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We will remind you that earlier we wrote that Ukrposhta dedicated a new stamp to the employees of Ukrzaliznytsia.
