During the weekend of August 5-6, 28 people died on reservoirs in Ukraine. Among the dead are children, the State Emergency Service reports. Since the beginning of 2023, 675 people have died in reservoirs, including 67 children. During the last weekend, the water took the lives of 28 people. They have 4 children. But the numbers speak for themselves: ignoring the safety rules,” the State Emergency Service noted. They added that people often choose completely unsuitable and unfamiliar bodies of water, lakes, and artificial ponds for swimming. Among the most frequent causes of tragedies, the State Emergency Service named: swimming under the influence of alcohol and children’s arbitrary stay in the water.
