After the loss of his family, Yuriy decided to join the ranks of the Armed Forces.

Recalling the tragic day when Yuriy lost his family, Oleksandr says that Easter in 2022 was the confectioner’s first day off. The man spent time with his family, went to the store, and when he returned – “his world was destroyed.”

Then a Russian missile hit the house where Yuri’s family lived. The tragedy took the lives of Kira’s 3-month-old daughter, her mother Valeria and grandmother Ludmila.

He acted like a worthy man of the Ukrainian nation – he joined the Armed Forces. First “Azov”, then the 3rd assault. Today (November 5 – ed.) we learned that he died defending his nation. A bright memory, a person with a big heart”Oleksandr Yakovenko wrote.

In April 2022, the man admitted that the service is not easy, because professionalism requires time and training.

“Time is short, the enemy is not waiting. The point is that there is a war here, we are not painting the grass under the ruler. You made a mistake – you are already 300 or 200. It is very painful to lose brothers, and it is sad to understand that in his place you could have been, or you could actually be next”– the man told “Suspilno” then.

Yuriy Glodan died in battle. His body was identified by the cross.
