The Ukrainian Oscar Committee has started the selection of films that will have the right to represent our country at the 96th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences “Oscar” award. Films that will claim to be in the “Best International Feature Film” category from Ukraine must be released no earlier than December 1, 2022 and no later than October 31, 2023 and shown in theaters for at least one week in a row. At the same time, tapes that were publicly shown outside the theatrical release before the theatrical release cannot be submitted for consideration by the Film Academy.
