Seven cities of Ukraine need all blood types

There is a need for all groups of donor blood in seven cities of Ukraine. In other areas, the need remains high.
The list of needs was published by the Ministry of Health.
There is a shortage of all blood groups in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kropyvnytskyi and Kharkiv.
The needs in other regional centers are as follows:
- Kherson: 1-, 2-, 3-, 4+/- groups;
- Zaporozhye: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th groups;
- Lviv: 2-, 3-, 4+/- groups;
- Zhytomyr: 4th group;
- Ivano-Frankivsk: 3rd, 4th groups.
“Blood needs are dynamic and change daily, depending on circumstances,” – the Ministry of Health adds.
Any able-bodied citizen of Ukraine, a foreigner or a stateless person who has a permanent residence permit in the territory of Ukraine, aged 18 and over and weighing more than 50 kilograms can become a donor.
Before donating blood, you should familiarize yourself with the contraindications to this procedure.
