In the capital of Finland, the city library of Helsinki allowed readers to anonymously recommend books using specially designed stickers with emotions.

The social experiment was also started in all branches of the city reading room, reports TheMayor.

Stickers that are allowed to be left in books contain four types of emotions:

  • penetration;
  • tremors;
  • freshness;
  • and impression effect.

It is noted that these emotions were chosen because they are sufficiently different from each other, describe emotional states and are generally understood.

It is expected that the reader will feel one of them after reading the book and by leaving his “feedback” he will be able to encourage someone else to read.

The stickers are located in the libraries near the return machines, so the reader can insert the appropriate card between the pages of the book he is returning.

The purpose of the experiment is to popularize reading.
