In Zhytomyr Oblast, a man was sentenced for sexually assaulting and raping a minor daughter.
He was given 15 years behind bars, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.
As the law enforcement officers established, during May-July 2022, the accused raped his daughter and committed sexual violence against her.
For this, he chose a time when neither his wife nor his youngest child was at home.

The father intimidated the daughter and threatened to beat her so that she would not tell anyone about what had happened, law enforcement officers add.
Due to the illegal actions of the father, the child ran away from home.

After the arrest, the accused was placed in custody. During the trial, he partially admitted his guilt.
He was convicted of crimes against the sexual freedom and sexual integrity of a minor (parts 2, 4, 6 of Article 152, part 2, 4 of Article 153 of the Criminal Code).
A resident of Zhytomyr region was sentenced to 15 years behind bars.
