The Cabinet of Ministers returned annual grants to young scientists and doctors of science.
The relevant project of the decree “On making changes to some Decrees of the President of Ukraine regarding the annual grants of the President of Ukraine to young scientists and doctors of science“ adopted on March 26, informs Ministry of Education and Science.
Starting from 2025, the National Research Fund will hold competitions for scientific projects to receive grants.
It is noted that earlier competitions for scientific projects were conducted by the State Fund for Fundamental Research.
Annual grants will resume from 2026:
▲ 77 of them will be allocated for scientific research of young scientists;
▲ another 20 – for scientific research by doctors of science.
“Goal – to ensure the active participation of young scientists in scientific and scientific and technical activities“, the Ministry of Health notes.
