In Mykolaiv, a 21-year-old mother allegedly beat her 4-year-old daughter. The child was diagnosed with a hematoma and is in a hospital.
As the National Police of the Mykolaiv Region reported, on the afternoon of January 1, a woman contacted the law enforcement officers and reported that her 4-year-old relative was beaten by her mother.
She said that the child complained to the adults where she celebrated the New Year together with her mother and brother. The girl said that her mother hit her.
During the examination at the medical institution, a hematoma was discovered on the child’s body, and other diseases were also diagnosed. Now the girl is in the hospital.

The law enforcement officers opened a case under Part 1 of Article 125 (intentional slight bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As told by “UP Life” in the police of Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident. For this, a forensic medical examination has been appointed. Investigations are also being conducted with the child’s mother.
“She faces a fine of up to 50 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or community service for a period of up to 200 hours, or correctional work for a period of up to one year“, said Antonina Lashta, spokeswoman of the Mykolaiv Oblast Police Department.
