The concert of the rock group “Naive” was canceled in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, the concert of the rock group “Naive”, scheduled for April 19, was canceled. In the group’s Instagram, it is said that it has been postponed to the spring of next year. Last Saturday, the leader of the group Alexander Ivanov spoke from the stage in support of Masha Moskaleva – the girl who drew an anti-war picture, after which her single father was accused of discrediting the army and sent to prison.

The reasons for canceling the concert are not specified in the message. The date of the group’s performance in an hour has not been announced, but it is clarified that the purchased tickets will be valid.

On April 15, at the “Naiva” concert in Moscow, soloist Alexander “Chacha” Ivanov appeared in a T-shirt with the inscription “Masha Moskalyova”. He addressed the audience and told about the persecution of a sixth-grader and her family. “I can’t pass by,” said Ivanov, “perhaps because my daughter is also her age – she’s 14, and Masha is 13. Friends, I want to ask you: Google this case, find out what happened there, be horrified by what happened with Masha and her family for the picture she drew at the iso class.”

In recent months, performances by musicians and actors who express disagreement with the Russian authorities, speak out against the war in Ukraine or against the persecution of people for their political views have been regularly canceled or “postponed for an indefinite period” in Russia.

• Masha Moskaleva is a schoolgirl from the city of Efremova, Tula Region, raised by a single father. In April 2022, she drew a picture of a woman with a Ukrainian flag shielding her child from flying missiles. After that, on the initiative of the school staff, the family was checked by the police and the FSB.
• On March 1, Alexey Moskalev was detained for anti-war comments. Guardianship authorities placed Masha Moskalev in a social shelter. On March 28, the court sentenced Alexei Moskalev to two years in prison on the charge of repeatedly discrediting the Russian army.
• On March 12, the Juvenile Commission of the city of Efremov, Tula region, filed a lawsuit to restrict Moskalev’s parental rights. Masha was taken from the shelter by her mother Olga Sytchikhina.
